Stop Spraying Our Streets: Campaign Meet-Up
Recent revelations from Auckland Council have made it clear to the people of Auckland that our Council is determined to increase the use of Glyphosate (Round-Up) on our roads and parks - despite significant question marks hanging over its safety. We are facing continued, blanket and consistent use ALL over Auckland. The rest of the world has woken up to the dangers and countries, councils and companies around the world have banned or restricted its use, citing public safety concerns.
Isn't it about time that Auckland City Council does the same?
So please come along to our meeting next Thursday...
In terms of format for the evening we would like to take you through a proposed campaign plan for the coming months - something exciting and a bit different.
We will invite your feedback and help, have a good run down of our current situation, and ultimately, figure out what we can do to keep our city safe and healthy for all of us :-)
We have speakers ranging from pesticide experts to local Auckland Councillors and Greens MP Steffan Browning. There is work going on all over our beautiful country and its really inspiring stuff!
Please come along to 8 Mt Eden Road (its the big wooden church building opposite the Powerstation) from 6.30pm. The venue is very close to the Mt Eden Train Station, bus routes and there is plenty of off-street parking in the area.
Bring an awesome friend and lets make this a big meet-up!
Refreshments will be provided. Nom. nom.
See you there!
