Justice for Susan Burdett. Make NZ Police reopen her murder case.

Justice for Susan Burdett. Make NZ Police reopen her murder case.

Justice for Susan Burdett and her family. Make the NZ Police reopen her murder case. Reinvestigate. Review all new evidence especially evidence that 3D Investigates (media) investigators found with Malcolm Rewa's former partner placing Malcolm Rewa alone in a driveway three houses away from where he raped Susan Burdett. Review all evidence, including evidence that Rewa himself said he did not know and hasn't ever met Teina Pora and vice versa.

Why is this important?

Susan Burdett and her family deserve justice. Since Teina Pora was cleared of the murder with his wrongful conviction quashed, the real murderer needs to be tried.

The NZ Police have refused to meet with media that have uncovered new evidence.

All New Zealand citizens should be able to feel safe in their homes and should be able to trust that the NZ Police will do their best to find the murderer and bring them to justice if that happened to any of our families.

Susan Burdett's life means something. She should not be forgotten. Her families quest for justice needs our support. She deserves justice. She deserved peace in her home. Malcolm Rewa raped her and robbed her of her peace. She was murdered that night in Pah Rd, Papatoetoe, Auckland. He is the only suspect now and there is new evidence that places Malcolm Rewa three doors away alone on that night in 1992. It will be 25 years in March since she was murdered. No one was brought to justice for taking Susan's life. Susan Burdett deserves eternal peace. Justice brings peace.

How it will be delivered

I will email the signatures to Paula Bennett, Minister of Police, New Zealand. Unless Susan's family want to deliver them in person.

Reasons for signing

  • If this was my family member or friend, I would want to have this sort of knowledge and closure. If the family are saying this is important to them, don't they deserve this, given the impact this must have had on their lives?
  • I don't think people like Malcolm Rewa should be allowed to be free to live amongst our families and friends, he is obviously seriously unwell and should be isolated or executed from humanity so that no other innocent human being suffers the same inhuman fate as Susan, God bless her, and her family...
  • I signed because Susan Burdett deserves justice and her family deserves peace. I signed because I don't believe there is any good excuse to deny her justice. I signed because I believe life is important. I signed because I believe in human dignity. I signed because Susan Burdett's life meant something.

I've just updated the name of the news show mentioned in this petition to it's entire name of 3D Investigates rather than just 3D.

A great news video that includes Susan's brother Tim speaking about his sister. It includes more about who Susan was.

This is a great media clip on the case that features Teina Pora and some of Malcolm Rewa's other victims.
